I was diagnosed with CIRS just six months before I joined CIRS Lab. I'm so glad I found this group so early in my treatment. It has become a wealth of knowledge in dealing with this illness, ranging from best cleaning practices to the science behind the disease. It's much more than a support group; it has become my safe place where I can express how I'm feeling or ask any question and not be embarrased. I am surrounded by other CIRS patients who completely understand and do not judge. The founders of the group are not only amazing, but they are CIRS patients too! One of the founders, Christian, leads a webinar or group session almost every week which includes a live question and answer period. This group has been there for me during panicked times and happy times. Don't second guess your decision to join, we would love to have you!

“After three years of illness The CIRS Lab helped me put the pieces together, and make a road map to recovery that is helping me get my life back. It gave me a place to tie together a sense of community with thoughtful evidence based guidance on how I can heal from an expert in the field. In the three months since joining The CIRS Lab, I have seen improvement in my symptoms for the first time. I am back at work, and am slowly regaining my energy and my life.”

If you would like to have additional support as you are healing from CIRS, Christian is available for one-on-one consultations and coaching.

Please note that he cannot prescribe or medically diagnose as he is NOT a medical practitioner. You should always consult with your practitioner whenever you incorporate medications or supplements.

Christian works with patients who need guidance as they move along the steps of the Shoemaker protocol (although he is also very open about helping you incorporate other supportive add-ons outside the standard Shoemaker protocol). The combination of his scientific thinking and practical experience as a hyper-sensitive CIRS patient puts him in a unique situation to understand the illness at a very nuanced level.

Christian’s goals are:

1)       To help you and your doctor ensure that you reach each treatment milestone in the most efficient way possible.

2)       When appropriate, to help you develop nuanced understanding around CIRS.

Consultations are typically meant to support ongoing care services from your medical practitioner. Often, patients are already working with a Shoemaker practitioner, but he has also worked with clients who are working with a non-Shoemaker practitioner. In some cases, clients may not have access to a medical practitioner at the time of the consultations.

Consultations may include any of the following:

  • Recommendations for Shoemaker certified practitioners that best suit your needs.

  • A thorough breakdown of CIRS-related test results, such as:

    • Visual Contrast Sensitivity (VCS)

    • NeuroQuant reports (including General Morphometry, Triage Brain Atrophy, Seizure, Dementia, and MVID reports)

    • GENIE

    • CIRS blood markers

    • MARCoNs from Microbiology DX

    • SinusKey from MicroGen DX

    • Environmental dust testing (ERMI/HERTSMI-2, Endo, Actino)

    • Tick borne testing (IGenex, MDL)

    • Prodrome Scan test

    • Stool testing (GI Map, Genova GI Effects)

  • Recommendations for tests that best suit your health and financial situation.

  • Customized recommendations for cleaning protocols that take into account your biotoxin-reactivity profile and ongoing environmental exposures.

  • Help you identify sources of ongoing exposure that may be unknowingly stalling your treatment.

  • Recommendations on supplementation (please note that I cannot prescribe or medically diagnose as I am NOT a medical practitioner, and you should always consult with your practitioner whenever you incorporate medications or supplements).
